DevOps Engineer (AWS)

We currently seek an experienced DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for our client’s cloud assets and for deployment of new software releases. Duties
You will be responsible for software build and release management, deployment to our client’s servers and oversee the maintenance and up-time of our client's production environment. Builds are done in a Linux environment and require interfacing with source control system.
Additional duties would include maintenance and updates of build automation scripts and performance tuning. Monitoring and overseeing the state of servers, securing them, running migrations and automation of health monitoring would also fall under your responsibility.
Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience with Linux system administration.
- 2 years of experience with cloud hosting, specifically AWS is required.
- Strong shell scripting skills are a must (Python is a plus).
- Experience with Chef and basic knowledge of Ruby is required.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Git is required.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, security and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL is required. Performance tuning and DB replication experience is a plus.
- Experience in a high availability production environment is desirable.
