Our client, a large transportation firm in the Baltimore area, seeks an Information Technology Manager responsible in overseeing the design, implementation and maintenance of our client’s IT infrastructure.   With a national presence and global reach, this is a key role in the organization’s success.

Job Responsibilities:

The Information Technology Manager will ensure the smooth running of Information Technology throughout the organization.  You will be responsible for the designing, implementing and running all infrastructure operations tools and technology; its’ processes, as well as documentation.  This role requires strong management skills but also the technical capability to get your hands dirty if needed.  Experience and solid understanding of IT operations and service delivery within a 24 x 7 environment is critical. 

You will be managing a team that oversees:

• Administration and maintenance all local area networks, email servers, file servers.
• Ensure backups and security of all data.
• Trouble shoot and resolve any technical issues.
• Set up new users, configure equipment, install and deploy software and upgrades.
• Make certain UPS and HVAC systems work appropriately for Data Center needs.
• Perform inventory/audit on all technology systems – tracking and managing asset inventories.
• Participate in the requirements, design and implementation of any new technological infrastructure.
• Ensure strong levels of internal customer satisfaction.
• Provide both Tier 1 & Tier 2 support for all technology related concerns.
• Manage technology vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

• 6 plus years supporting and maintaining IT infrastructures.
• Strong management/leadership capabilities
• Broad knowledge of Windows environments.
• Solid understanding of networking.
• Valid driver’s license.
• College Degree or equivalent industry experiences is a must.
